Crossovers are always a fun enterprise. It opens the door for new visions, opportunities, and stories alike. With Disney as the owner of Marvel, the following pairings wouldn’t be impossible to see in future projects, whether they be film shorts, cartoons or even feature-length films. If nothing else, it’s a good inspiration for new fanfiction. With pairings like Ariel and Thor, Ursula and Thanos, and Loki and Gothel, the possibilities are limitless. Marvel and Disney both share dynamic characters that are fun, unpredictable, and different from any other characters we know. Imagine them put together! That said, here are 10 MCU/Disney crossover couples we’d love to see.
Flynn Rider And Gamora
This doesn’t seem likely, so let us explain. In the MCU, Gamora falls for Star Lord, a character that’s not meant to be taken too seriously. He’d much rather have fun and goof off, but he can occasionally get the job done. Star Lord is cocky and a bit macho. Sound familiar? It’s because Flynn Rider shares many of these same qualities, so why wouldn’t Gamora fall for Flynn, too? Not to mention Flynn’s got some handsome looks. Gamora wouldn’t stand a chance against Flynn’s “smolder” or his charms.
Beast And Jane Foster
Like Belle, Jane would surely be impressed by The Beast’s book collection and wouldn’t hesitate to look into the mystery of the rose. Jane is brave and bold. She’d look beyond The Beast’s looks to uncover the man on the inside. Jane has a soft spot for Thor, also big and burly, and helps him when he needs it the most.
On the other hand, Jane would also capture The Beast’s interests, as she’s scientific, inquisitive, and kind. Jane and The Beast would make the perfect couple, so much so it’d be a mirror of Belle and The Beast, or Jane and Thor themselves.
Cinderella And Captain America
Cinderella and Captain America both come from humble and difficult beginnings, allowing for the potential to share a connection and commonalities. Both worked hard to rise to greatness, Cinderella cooking and cleaning, and Captain America training. Both Captain America and Cinderella are old-fashioned and well-mannered, making for pleasant rapport. Plus, we already know Cinderella looks good in blue, so why not?
Aurora And Spider-Man
Both Aurora and Spider-Man were raised by someone other than their parents–for Spider-Man, it was his Aunt May, and for Aurora, three good fairies became her parental figures. Their unconventional upbringings would be a topic they could relate upon. Spider-Man suddenly has powers thrust upon him and Aurora has been burdened with a curse all her life, so the two could also relate upon their shared supernatural experiences.
Perhaps Spider-Man could’ve been the true love that broke her curse, and she in turn could’ve helped him with his powers and with concealing his identity. If nothing else, Aurora could enjoy Spider-Man’s awkwardness and sense of humor and Spider-Man could appreciate her singing voice, compassion, and kindness.
Loki And Gothel
Loki would be Gothel’s dream man. Gothel ruined the life of Rapunzel because she wanted Rapunzel’s magic hair to keep her eternally young and beautiful. If Gothel had Loki, he could surely cook something up to grant that wish and more. Gothel is impressed by power, magic, and ambition. Loki has all those qualities and more. The two together would be incredibly destructive to others, but they’d be perfect for one another, fueling one another’s hunger for power (or eternal youth). Gothel would’ve readily stepped up with Loki to take the throne in Asgard without remorse, and both would happily destroy anyone, or anything, that got in their way. They’re definitely some kind of power couple.
Jasmine And Doctor Strange
Jasmine loves adventure. She doesn’t like to be cooped up behind palace walls and she doesn’t like to be told what to do. She doesn’t care about marrying for fortune or royalty, not when true love is her real desire. Doctor Strange would bring magic and adventure to her life, the kind she’s always craved.
She could certainly make a magic carpet out of Doctor Strange’s “Cloak of Levitation” (as long as the Cloak likes her) and she’d join him on his adventures of saving the world without a second thought. Jasmine cares about people, and she’d keep Doctor Strange’s ego in check. They would balance each other out, and make each other infinitely happy.
Ursula And Thanos
Neither Thanos nor Ursula are going to be winning beauty contests anytime soon, but they do share that creepy purple skin look. They’re both awfully evil, so it’s not like they’d break up over killing off half a planet of people or something. Thanos claims to do what he does to keep a balance in the Universe as he thinks he’s some kind of God. Ursula is bitter and takes advantage of people for her own gain, making her viewpoint a bit more selfish on her part. Perhaps these two evils would complement one another, and they could introduce each other to new tactics of evil. It might not be the healthiest relationship, but it’d be a relationship nonetheless.
Belle And Iron Man
Belle is sweet, beautiful, and intelligent. Everything Iron Man could ever want. Her compassion and kindness would rub off on Iron Man and inspire him to be a better man not just for her but for himself. Belle is attracted to people who are different, and Tony Stark is about as unique as you can get.
She’d mellow him out and teach him a better way of life, and she’d support his endeavors, including his work as an Avenger. She may even join the Avengers in some way to help people (probably as a researcher). Regardless, these two would complement one another and find true love and everlasting happiness.
Hulk And Elsa
Hulk and Elsa share one major experience in common: they both thought they were monsters. After too much exposure to gamma rays, Bruce Banner finds himself transforming into the Hulk. Elsa was born with the powers of ice and snow. Both isolated themselves to some degree to protect others from the parts of themselves they deemed dangerous. Sometimes you just need someone who totally and understandably gets “it,” in this case “it” being the monster tendencies they were afraid of in themselves. Of course neither Bruce nor Elsa are monsters, but they felt like they were, and they both found ways to accept who they were and move on. That relatable experience would be a big deal in their relationship, and they’d feel confident in their love for each other because of it.
Ariel And Thor
Ariel and Thor are both from different worlds, those being the ocean and Asgard. Plus, they’re both royalty, and both have had significant differences with their fathers. These shared experiences would surely help them to secure a connection, and to learn from their life lessons and do better together. Both are rebellious to some degree, both are kind and care about their people, and both like to go against the grain and do things their own way. They may have to learn a few lessons together, but they’d be happy following their paths as one. All that’s left is figuring out if Thor’s moving to the sea or if Ariel’s switching out fins for legs to join Thor on land.
