As soon as October hits, Hallmark lovers start counting down the days for the networks holiday-themed movies. As predictable and corny as some of the movies’ storylines are, we can’t help but beg for more. While Hallmark’s fall-themed TV movies are pretty good, nothing compares to its Chrismas movies.

Hallmark’s Christmas movies deserve a lifetime achievement award. All of them are filled with such cozy moments that many people dream of having. From a horse-drawn sleigh ride to strolling through Central Park with hot cocoa and an attractive crush — Hallmark Chrismas movies are everything we want to happen in real life. These movies are so beloved that they’ve made some actors and actresses very popular, coming back every holiday season to film more Christmas movies.

With hundreds of thousands of movies to Hallmark’s name, we found 10 Christmas movies that were rated among the highest on IMDb. Some may be a no-brainer, while others may surprise you.

A CROWN FOR CHRISTMAS - 7

Released in 2015, A Crown for Christmas focuses on Allie Evans (Danica McKeller) and her siblings, who are struggling to make ends meet. As a maid for a local hotel, she’s fired around the holidays; however, before her firing, she returns a very expensive watch she found in one of the rooms. Unbeknownst to her, it was King Maximillian’s.

Taken away by her honesty, Allie is hired to look after the king’s daughter and in a classic Hallmark way, the King falls for the American. This theme runs in many of Hallmark’s movies but it never gets old, which is why this movie was given a 7 on IMDb.

A VETERAN’S CHRISTMAS - 7.1

A Veteran’s Christmas was released through Hallmark’s Movies & Mysteries channel but it was still a holiday hit. In this film, Grace is discharged from the Marines and heads home for the holidays, but as fate would have it, her car breaks down. And who comes to the rescue? A handsome stranger named Joe Peterson.

As a local judge, Joe offers Grace a place to stay until her car is repaired and viewers can see the love grow between them. Not meaning to fall for each other, Grace is torn after believing Joe still loves his ex-girlfriend and is also accepting a job out of state. But this is Hallmark! Therefore, Joe turns down the job offer, living happily ever after with Grace.

JOURNEY BACK TO CHRISTMAS - 7.1

Surprisingly, this Candace Cameron Bure Christmas movie scored a 7.1 on IMDb. Perhaps it’s because the plotline was something not too often seen on Hallmark?

In this film, a nurse from World War II is transported to 2016 after a strange comet comes towards Earth. Bure’s character is utterly confused and is seen as crazy until an officer finally believes her. Viewers watch as she tries to function in modern-day society while missing her long-lost husband.

THE NINE LIVES OF CHRISTMAS - 7.1

A love for animals is what makes this Hallmark movie so popular. The Nine Lives of Christmas revolves around a veterinary student (Marilee) and a fireman (Zachary) falling for each other in strange circumstances.

Zachary doesn’t believe in love and dates rather vapid women, but that changes when he meets the compassionate Marilee, who also has a passion for cats. Marilee temporarily moves into the house Zacahry is renovating and it’s there where their bond grows.

CHRISTMAS GETAWAY - 7.2

Christmas Getaway is a quaint movie about a woman named Emory who needs a break from traveling. In need of a hometown vacation, she decides to spend the holidays alone in a charming town. However, her holiday plans get off to a rocky start when the company double-booked her stay.

Instead of enjoying a quiet Christmas alone, Emory is now staying with a recent widower named Scott, his mother, and daughter. Although it was frustrating to have both holiday plans thrown in the trash, a relationship sparks between these two strangers — just in time for the holidays.

BRAMBLE HOUSE CHRISTMAS - 7.2

A Bramble House Christmas was a mysterious Christmas movie that had a happy ending.

After Finn’s father passed away, it was time to settle his estate and go through his will. In his father’s will, it stated that his dedicated nurse, Willa, gets $100,000 of his money. Finn, of course, becomes suspicious and flies out to meet this Willa, who ends up being the opposite of his worst fears. However, Finn doesn’t reveal his identity when he first meets Willa, opting to stay undercover.

THE CHRISTMAS SECRET - 7.3

In The Christmas Secret, we meet a single mom who’s going through a hard time. As it often happens in these Hallmark movies, Christine’s hardest moments fall around the holidays. Christine loses her job, is in a custody battle with her ex-husband, and misplaces a beloved treasure from her late father.

All her misfortune begins to change once Christine gets a new job and falls for the owners’ grandson, Jason. If there were a movie about Christmas miracles and believing in the notion of “good things come to those who wait,” then it’s this one.

THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR - 7.3

Christmas is the most wonderful time of year and it can be found on Hallmark! In a movie aptly titled The Most Wonderful Time of Year, we meet yet another single mom who is too stressed to even enjoy the holiday season.

To add more stress to her plate, Jennifer’s dad brings along a guest for the holidays; a man named Morgan whom he met on his flight. Considering Morgan is a complete stranger, she’s freaked out that he’s staying in their home for the holidays but as these movies tend to end, the two fall for one another.

SIGNED, SEALED, DELIVERED FOR CHRISTMAS - 7.5

With a 7.5 rating, Signed, Sealed, and Delivered for Christmas was loved by viewers. It starts with four post office detectives who make it their duty to relay every card and message before Christmas but there’s one more mysterious letter written to God that they have to figure out before they can call it a day.

In order to make sure the little girl in the letter wakes up having a good Christmas, they risk their own holidays to deliver the letter.

ONCE UPON A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE - 7.8

With the highest rating on this list, Once Upon a Christmas Miracle has a 7.7 rating! In a story about health, a woman named Heather is having liver complications and needs a viable donor in order to have a healthy life.

Thankfully for Heather, a mysterious and gorgeous stranger named Chris promises to be a donor. In the weeks coming up to her surgery, the two get to know each other and bond (after all, they’re going to be apart of each other’s story for their entire lives) and a genuine relationship begins to form just in time for Christmas.
