With Robert Pattinson getting cast as a younger version of Bruce Wayne than we’ve seen in the DC Extended Universe, it seems as though the character is getting a total reboot – no more Batfleck – which will make Batman v Superman, Suicide Squad, and Justice League pretty much void from the DCEU canon, which we can praise the heavens for. With a new Batman will come new Batman villains, so we could be seeing more of the Caped Crusader’s impressive rogues gallery on the big screen soon....

Game of Thrones fans will sadly be saying goodbye to their beloved show this year. While season eight marks the end of this adventure, we thankfully have much more from this world to fill the gap. One of the proposed prequel series has already been greenlit and production is beginning. Little is known about the new series other than the tentative title of The Long Night and the fact that it is set thousands of years before the events of Game of Thrones....

With the upcoming launch of Disney’s streaming service Disney+ comes new Marvel series. In addition to comic book characters like Moon Knight, Hawkeye, and Loki getting their own shows, She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel will also have shows on the streaming site. Ms. Marvel is Kamala Khan, a teenager who became a superhero after discovering she had Inhuman genes. A Terrigen cloud caused many people in her town to cocoon and transform....

Earlier this year, fans of the television drama Supernatural were pretty sad to find out that the show will be coming to an end soon. Since the final episode is no longer very far away, it is nice to sit back and look at some of the best moments the series has brought to its’ viewers so far. All it takes is one movie to start a trend. That’s what happened with the English-language remake of Hideo Nakata’s 1998 film The Ring. Before Alita: Battle Angel, the idea that any live-action anime film would be worth watching was a little ludicrous. For whatever reason, there were very few good live-action anime films. The number of ones worth watching could be counted maybe on one hand and many of them were made in Japan. Rurouni Kenshin, Death Note, Bleach, and Parasyte had some effective adaptations, while more obscure manga like Oldboy and Ichi the Killer were adapted into such amazing films that people often forget they were manga first....

Between network, cable, and streaming, it seems like TV is overflowing with superhero stories. Let’s be honest though, we’re not exactly drowning in Black superhero stories. With five shows in its arsenal, The CW’s Arrowverse has the most representation, but it’s still not huge. Judd Apatow returns to filmmaking with his latest, The King of Staten Island. Starring, and co-written, by Pete Davidson the film is a semi-biographical adaptation of Davidson’s life; he plays Scott and 20-something man, still living at home and still adjusting to the death of his father. It’s the type of material that Apatow excels at. His characters (while also falling into ridiculous or embarrassing situations) often find themselves trying to joke their way through tragic or uncomfortable circumstances....
