Everyone loves a good crossover, and for some reason, the horror genre seems like an ideal setting for famous characters to run into one another. Back in 2003, fans got to see horror movie villains Freddy Kreuger and Jason Vorhees go head-to-head in Freddy vs Jason. While that film wasn’t a huge hit, it was entertaining to see these icons sharing the screen. Ever since then, fans have been imagining other potential crossovers in the horror movie world they would love to see....

Perhaps the most famous of all indie studios focused on developing rip-offs of popular films (known as “mockbusters”), The Asylum has been around for over twenty years and thus earned a special brand of notoriety within the film community. In fact, I think Apple did itself a disservice by labeling this a dot release instead of just calling it Final Cut Pro version 11.0. The Lighthouse is one of the most talked-about films of the year and for good reason. The atmospheric horror film is the second feature from Robert Eggers (The Witch) and stars Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe as lighthouse keepers stuck together on a small island. As a storm prevents any relief from the mainland their sanity begins to come undone. The film is engrossing thanks to the two performances, the unique look of the film and the mysterious story....
